The NZ Playhouse presents ‘Treasure Island’ Pirates! Parrots! Peglegs! What more could you want in a rollicking tale of high adventure on the high seas? Oh yes, of course… buried treasure! And lots of it! Packed with crazy characters and sea shanties, this hilarious interactive adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic adventure will have everyone laughing from start to finish. This show is for all students, Friday 13th October the cost is $5.50 per student. Payment can be made at the school office via or online 12 3046 0362238 00. Please put child’s name and show as reference.
Games are held on a Thursday afternoon at Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre and are 20 minutes long. There is a schedule for games starting at 3.30pm and the last game starting at 7.25pm, however your child is only required to attend their game time slot.
Fees are approximately $65.
If your child is a year 3/4 student and would like to play please contact Katrina on 021 385 919 as soon as possible before the end of term.
Parents are invited in to watch their children perform their dance this Friday at 12pm on the court if the weather permits. If the weather is wet then this will be performed in the hall. We look forward to seeing you there.

The race order is as follows:
Year 6 girls, Year 6 boys, Year 5 girls, Year 5 boys, Year 4 girls, Year 4 boys, Year 3 girls, Year 3 boys, Year 2 girls, Year 2 boys, Yr0/1 girls, Yr 0/1 boys.
We are unable to give an exact time for the start of each race – they will start when the previous one finishes.
Children may come to school in their house colours but please make sure they have their uniform to change into after their race in case they get wet and muddy.

This evening a ute crashed into the school fence on Silverdale St, by the senior playground. Fortunately no one was injured. At this stage the vehicle is still there as the tow truck was unable to remove it.
The field, senior playground area and the bike track will be closed tomorrow while we assess the full damage and check the stability of the fence.
We will make a decision by the end of the school day tomorrow, Thursday, whether or not cross country can go ahead.
Also a reminder that students need to come to school in tidy and clean uniform with correct shoes and long hair tied up.
Where possible if your child could arrive to school by 8.30am as buses will be leaving promptly at 8.45am.
If your child is going to be absent please can you inform the office early to enable us to complete our roll before we leave for Mass, thank you.

Please see attached a copy of the School Feast Day Mass letter. Last week a hard copy was distributed to eldest and only children. You can include all siblings on the one form, or download the copy below or from the Hero App. The cost for the bus is $7.00 per child.
The Bayes 22 bus to Gulf Harbour will run at the earlier time of 12.20pm. All other buses will run at the regular time. If you want your child to catch the later buses they will need to be booked in to sKids until the bus arrives in the afternoon.
Seesaw is a platform for student engagement that inspires students of all ages to do their best, and saves teachers time! Students use creative tools to take pictures, draw, record videos and more to capture learning in a portfolio. Teachers find or create activities to share with students.The Seesaw platform is used for homework activities as well as in class work.
Parents are also notified by the class teacher about classroom and school activities and events via the Seesaw platform. Parents can also Seesaw their child’s teacher.

Families only have access to their child’s journal. This means you will see student work tagged with your child’s name and posts the teacher tags with ‘Everyone’. Families will also be able to see any comment made by another user on their child’s journal posts.
